01 / EXPERIENCE

A technical career centered on turning complexity into clarity—across software, infrastructure, and the people who rely on both.

FEB 2025 — PRESENT

Solutions Implementation Manager

LANDIS+GYR

  • Support network device deployments for utility customers ranging from tens of thousands to more than one million endpoints.
  • Guide customers toward configurations that fit their technical requirements, then troubleshoot communication from SCADA systems through to end devices.
  • Assist with firmware, Device Control Word, and software releases across customer environments.
  • Built a Flask application that decodes DNP3 data from application logs, replacing manual message-by-message decoding for internal coworkers.

Technical Implementation Engineer I

LANDIS+GYR

  • Used MSSQL and Oracle databases to diagnose system issues and improve reliability.
  • Wrote and refined Python scripts for automated data gathering and organization.
  • Supported Linux and Windows servers and partnered with Development, Engineering, and SQA teams on root cause analysis.
  • Worked within formal change-control processes for updates and releases, including post-implementation customer support.
MAY 2021 — AUG 2021

Technical Support Specialist Intern

ROCK CENTRAL

  • Provided front-line technical support across the Rock Family of Companies by phone and remote desktop.
  • Diagnosed and resolved user issues with a 90%+ success rate.
  • Helped create presentations and gamified training modules for common support scenarios.
MAY 2021 — AUG 2021

IBM Accelerate Program

IBM

  • Selected for IBM’s Virtual Learning Experience, combining technical projects with professional mentorship.
  • Collaborated with a team to build web applications across both frontend and backend.
JUL 2019 — AUG 2019

Mechanisms of Evolution REU

UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS

  • Used a genome-wide association study and R-based statistical analysis to explore links between genomic sequences and fat phenotypes in fruit flies.
  • Identified 13 candidate genes and presented the findings to UNLV faculty and students.

02 / SELECTED WORK

Tools and experiments built around a simple idea: make difficult systems easier to use.

01 / FEATURED SYSTEM · INTERNAL TOOL · LANDIS+GYR

DNP3 log decoder

A Flask web application that turns raw DNP3 data from application logs into usable troubleshooting information. Built with AI-assisted development tools and adopted by internal coworkers to reduce manual decoding time.

RAW LOGFLASK PARSERDECODED OUTPUT
PROBLEM
Slow, message-by-message decoding
APPROACH
Browser-based internal utility
TOOLS
Python · Flask · DNP3
OUTCOME
Faster internal troubleshooting
02 / CONNECTED HARDWARE

The Smarte Bike

Co-designed an electric bicycle and companion application that used blockchain to verify ownership. Built a Solidity smart contract on an Ethereum testnet and a frontend for purchasing keys, verifying ownership, and monitoring location and speed.
